He is blind, alone and penniless. But he survives, begging on the streets of Diagon Alley. He has his routine, but the new constable stops by on his six-month patrol beat. One Harry Potter, who doesn't recognize his former nemesis, but takes an active interest in making sure he is taken care of. What will happen when Harry finds out who the local beggar is and will he be able to help him?

He leaned back out when he was out of breath, breathing hard and staring into magnificent emerald green eyes with a visible blush on his neck and face. "I'm.... sorry," he said awkwardly, looking elsewhere but at Potter. He wasn't supposed to kiss Potter, but it was just so tempting... He felt warm hands cupping his cheeks and looked back down at Potter. "Don't apologize, Malfoy," Potter said softly, caressing Draco's cheeks with his thumbs. He doesn't know why he has his hands on Draco's cheeks, it just happened subconsciously. "I hate to admit it, but that was wonderful, and I'd do it again." Draco smiled down at Potter, feeling his cheeks burn a deeper shade of red. Potter would kiss him again? That was exciting to hear, and he would like to kiss him again too. "Yeah, it was," he said, biting his lip to stop him from sounding dreamy. "Aren't you with Weaslette though?" Potter shook his head, "Ginny's like a sister to me, but we're close." Then he hesitated and smirked at the Blonde snake above him, "Why? Jealous, Malfoy?" Draco narrowed his eyes at him. Healer Potter gets a new patient in his specialized ward at St. Mungo's. He can heal injuries that no one else can and it's clear from the start that this patient is broken. Injuries and abuse dating years. He knows that he can help him and he is surprised when he discovers Draco Malfoy is his patient for the next three months. Harry has to heal his injuries from an apparent suicide attempt, but soon he realizes that it's deeper than that. Draco is fresh out of Azkaban and Harry knows that the guards must have viciously tortured him, but Draco isn't talking. He's set up to stay in the Mental Health ward permanently if Harry doesn't heal him physically and mentally. At the same time, Harry isn't the righteous force of anger and courage that he once was. He quit the Aurors and suffers from extreme social anxiety, panic attacks and PTSD attacks, though it's not from war. Harry has to deal with his problems, too, but maybe not alone anymore. Trigger warning - there are discussions about sexual assaults, associated terminology and abuse. There are many panic attacks and some sleeping, eating and drinking disorders. This is a story of recovery from severe emotional distress.
