After best friends Mia and Ethan decide to run away with her knowledge and aide, Aiana Stevens is left to find her friends after they are kidnapped off the streets. The main problem here, is that she cannot let the authorities get involved, since her friends are high profile missing people. Will she be able to find them with nothing but her laptop, a few cue cards, some thumbtacks, maybe a ball of yarn, and her highly educated but inexperienced friend Heather?

((Completed)) I stay on the floor. I sit staring at the bedroom door for hours, seething with anger at myself. The more I think the angrier I get. I know anger won't get me anywhere, especially here, except maybe dead. Still, I sit enraged. The whole house is silent. It's probaby the most quiet it's ever been. A huge human trafficking center is at the works. Their mascot, Alexys Barnes, has been theirs for 10 years... and is also a subject of interest to Sam, who wants to try rescuing her. The rest of the group is against the idea, as school is starting up soon and no one wants to get involved. Things start to change when they start hearing about disappearances happening all around them, including several instances when travelling to Avery's dance competitions. It all culminates in the abduction of Brielle, Avery's older sister.
