A project that has been going on at Evergreen Hill High for many years is Mrs. Arnolds' class is the notes project. Each student writes anonymous letters to another student. Through the years the project has created many friendships, relationships, and enemies. Drew couldn't be less interested in the notes project. 

 Drew Miller is seen as a dark, cold, and empty girl. Drew is known as the antisocial girl that sits in the back of the classroom. Everyone who doesn't use her just ignores her completely. She doesn't mind people ignoring her she enjoys being in her own head most of the time. 

Madeline Green is seen as the perfect girl. She has a perfect life, she looks perfect, and has almost perfect grades. Maddy always sees the best in people even if there is no good to be found.

What will happen when two girls who couldn't be any more different get paired up for a project.
