In Kylie Maddox's 23 years on planet Earth she's never acquired anything of value. After her dad left when she was 9, her mother had struggled to raise her two kids, alone. There was never enough money, clothes were always worn out or too small but Kylie made due with what she had.

Until she grows up and has to live on her own. Now Kylie has to struggle on her own, with little money, no college education and worst of all a cocky neighbor who never struggles to make her furious. Ryan and Kylie are at each other's throats constantly, arguing over everything, keeping their distance and much as possible. Until they hear about 'Love in Paradise.'
