Ruby and her half sister Yang never had the best childhood. ever since their mother Summer died, they were abused by Tai. Raven and Qrow were the only adults that still care about them. Even their brother Toad cares about them. One day Tai took things too far and cut Ruby and Yang's vocal cords causing them to be mute. and remain mute for the first semester in beacon. Toad would do odd jobs to pay to get his sister's voice boxes repaired while being a student of beacon. Toad earned the affection of a certain cat faunus among other girls. Even his own sisters had fallen for him. Toad will make Tai pay for what he did to Ruby and Yang.
