For almost sixteen years, Kayla could say that she lived somewhat of a normal life. She had a younger brother named Spencer, and they lived in the middle of nowhere with their Aunt Elizabeth. That is, they used to. None of them saw it coming. One minute they were peacefully going about their night and the next there is a knock at the door; not a moment Aunt Elizabeth is dead.

From there Kayla and Spencer lives are thrown into a whirlwind of events. Kayla’s future is finally making its appearance known and past memories will hold the key to help her discover who and what her destiny is.

But nothing about the situation is normal. Kayla and her brother aren’t human. In fact, they weren’t even born on earth. What are they?

They are Nephilim. They come from a dimension that was created solely to protect Earth and all the light dimensions. From what? Ravagers; dark, hellish creatures that resemble humans and demons; lots and lots of demons. The demons led by the Ravagers come from the hundreds of dark dimensions that exist and all of them share the same mission; to turn light into dark and to take over all the grey in between.

To do that though they must get to The Gates of Lys, but only one Nephilim a century has the power to open those gates. And that Nephilim has no idea what fate has in store for her.

She knew he meant trouble. Yet she loved him. When seventeen-year-old Quinn Sophia Richards leaves New York to live with her grand-aunt, Helen Deveraux in Blue Haven, Georgia, she is confronted with a dark life changing revelation : her whole life was a big lie to hide the fact that she is a powerful Campbell witch who needs to fulfill her part of the prophecy before it's too late. She meets a mysterious handsome stranger who seems to know a great deal about her family's past. But can she trust this dangerous manipulating stranger whose dark side threaten to consume her... *** It was the most captivating pair of blue eyes she had ever encountered in her life. "Hello Quinn," he murmured huskily, eyes locked on her. The fact that he knew her name did not matter to her. It just felt right the way his full lips voiced it. "Hi, did you see a fair blond guy in his middle twenties passing by?" she muttered, still amazed with his hypnotic stare. Flexing a muscle in his high cheekbone, he raised one long eyebrow playfully. Something in the atmosphere was telling her that he knew the answer. "Boyfriend?" he teased, eyes locked broodingly upon her. Taken aback with his question, she only stared back. It was true that Tom Willis did not appear an ounce a driver with his casual clothing and his age. But he wasn't to find out. Her heart was already fluttered with his devastating looks. "Well, I can definitely help you." He leaned closer and she took in a deep breath, inhaling his overpowering masculine scent. "But on one condition." He paused, increasing the electrifying temsion between them. " In the right time, I'll take something from you in return," his profoundly blue eyes twinkling with devilish intentions. "And you won't be allowed to refuse." "Whatever you want," she murmured, fluttering her long lashes. Her mind warned her to run away as suddenly he seemed dangerous. Except she didn't. *** Hungry for more? Read the parts of Infinity Coven !

This story was previously known as "The Awakening". ~*~ "One... two... three... one... two... three... a million... is that number right?" A figure less voice echoed. "Hello? Who's there?" Caliope asked, focusing on that voice. "One... two... who? A million... a billion... no, it's more... a legion..." Silence. She had seen too many horror movies and heard too many stories about that single word to overpass its meaning. The voice went quiet, yet she was still unable to see where it came from. She rubbed her eyes and all she could see around her was a thick path in a jungle-like scene. She didn't remember how she got there, but she knew it was for something important. Her eyes focused on the far end of the path and all she could see were more trees. She turned to the opposite side and found just the same. "One... two... billions... but always back at one..." the voice resumed it's counting. "Where are you? Who are you?" ~*~ -Her name is Caliope, and when she was a young girl, she never believed in happy endings. For her, there was nothing more than what you see in front of you. All she needed was her best friend Vanessa. Her background is very simple; a foster child with foster parents that were everything but warm and caring. Regardless of that, she became a smart and responsible young woman, ready for whatever came her way. At least that is what she thought. Her new job interview changed her life. It changed everything she ever believed in, and what she thought it was real. Her new boss is an amazing woman who has a son, something different from what he is made out to be. As she discovers the hidden truth about her boss and her son, she has to prepare herself for a whole new world that will unfold to her. ~*~ Intro collaboration with my loyal reader @GabrielleCarden Original Picture from the cover made by Marcus J. Ranum ~*~ This story has erotic scenes, religious perspectives, and judgment. Be warned and read at your own risk.
