In a world touched by the mysterious affliction of hanahaki, where unrequited love manifests as blooming flowers in the heart, Adam found himself ensnared by his feelings for his best friend, Gina. Their laughter echoed through their days, a beautiful melody that masked the longing brewing within him.

As weeks passed, Adam felt the first stirrings of petals forming in his throat, each blossom a silent plea for her love. He watched Gina, radiant and blissfully unaware, her joy amplifying the ache in his heart. The more he tried to hide his feelings, the more the flowers choked him, vibrant yet suffocating.

One afternoon, in a quiet field, Adam knelt among wildflowers, tears streaming down his cheeks as petals began to fall from his lips. "Why can't you see me?" he whispered, the weight of his love pressing down on him.

Just then, a shadow fell across him. He looked up to see Gina standing there, eyes wide with concern. "Adam, are you okay?"
