Aria Bascombe is a professional journalist for Rumour, a high-end, online gossip magazine. She writes for the sex and relationships column and loves her job. Being completely single and happy to be, she enjoys delving into her research. When she is propositioned by her editor to take on a piece based on the works of E.L. James, she finds herself thrown into the world of Ryan Walker, CEO and Founder of Walker Management, a company specialising in the managing of business marketing.

Being the successful man he is, he enjoys dabbling in secret relationships, so becomes the perfect fit for Aria's piece. Although, when he finds out she is a journalist, he agrees under the conditions she sign a contract and Non-Disclosure Agreement.

She agrees to the contract and enters into the twisted world of Mr Walker, full of lust, pleasure and little bit of pain. She can't help herself falling for his dominating presence.
