Jade is a sixteen year old girl who has something different about her. Her whole life she has been told she is fragile and been limited to things she can do. Jade has had an easy life even after losing her parents on her sixteenth birthday.
After a month of them being gone she has tried to focus on her schooling, but she slowly starts to feel the pressure of her past start to weigh on her. She may have had life made for her, but it wasn't the happy go lucky life that the painting pictured.
One night she goes out on her own to a river near her home standing at the edge. She listened to the water going down stream. The slight breeze rustling the leaves. Then a strong iron smell.....blood? She didn't even flinch though as a hand rests on her shoulder.
