This is a Keeper of the Lost Cities fanfiction. None of the characters or settings are mine all belong to the amazing Shannon Messenger.
Sophie Foster wakes up in a strange room, with strange people in a strange situation. She doesn't remember her name, her family, nothing. She knows facts though, she knows elves exist, she knows about light leaping, she knows what mallow melt is. She just doesn't remember if mallow melt is her favorite food. They tell her she was a hero jumping in the line of fire to save someone (Keefe). She has 5 abilities she doesn't know how to control and a life that she is not sure she wants back.
This book happens right after Legacy, there will be spoilers, so read the whole series before this. Last and finally I am changing things up, fin this fanfic Legacy ended with a win for the Blackswan, Keefe is not in a coma because Sofia jumped infront of Keefe. Sophie was in a coma and when she woke up she had amnesia. OH and I am making it so that her bodyguards are all doing something (invent excuse here) so she only has Sandor and Bo.

Beginning right after the latest Keepers book Unlocked, Sophie returns home to Find Grady suspiciously sad, but never in her mind could she have imagined why, finally she goes up stairs and reads Keefe's (heartbreaking) letter. Will she go after him or honor his wishes? Spoilers if you haven't read Unlocked. But if you're like me and aching to read the next book I hope this fanfic will help you with the wait. Enjoy! ~~~ She sat frozen, hardly allowing herself to breathe. Keefe was... gone? Shock paralyzed her whole body as her mind processed this thought. Due to unknown reasons, Sophie Foster has just woken up in Book 1 at the museum with all her memories still intact. Now as a 12-year-old, Sophie must figure out how to make everything go right this time and try to stop the Neverseen in the process. This fanfiction was started in late 2018, right before Flashback was published. Please keep in mind that some of the ideas will reflect this. Everything in this fanfiction takes place before Legacy to avoid any confusion. Some ideas, wording, and dialogue are taken straight from Shannon Messenger's Keeper of the Lost Cities in order to make the plotline make sense. Writing it helped the wait, and was a lot of fun, too. I will also be writing a fanfic of book 9 once I am done reading UNLOCKED. This takes place a few months after the end of LEGACY. It does not cover what was in the cache. and has no relation to information released about unlocked. And yes, I did choose a legacy rejected title as the title of this fanfic. He's been moving throughout the Forbidden Cities, staying out of sight, dodging police, and most of all, trying to control his new ability. This is a work of fanfiction, all credit and characters belong to Shannon Messenger. Placed after Stellarlune, for the sake of the story Elysian is gone, and most of Keefe's powers are fixed. NO Mature/Explicit scenes. Keefe's forehead was searing hot against Sophie's shoulder, she pressed it harder against her, hoping to brand the feeling there. "You don't always mess things up Keefe." Unable to resist the soft tendrils tickling her fingers, she slid her fingers up the nape of his neck and into his hair. The sound he made, could have only be described as a whimpered groan, his arms pulling Sophie impossibly close to him. "I want you." Keefe's voice was strangled. "I want you so much, Sophie. I want you to be mine, I want you to look for me whenever you go into a room- the same way I look for you. I want you to think of me as soon as you wake up, and right before you go to sleep- the way I think of you. I want you to-" Emotions choked out Keefe's voice, Sophie pulled away just enough for her eyes to find his, Keefe's breath coming out in harsh jagged rasps, his eyes burned into hers with sheer desperation. Tears sprung into Sophie's as she recognized just how much Keefe needed her- a desperation that consumed him from the inside out, a feeling that reflected her own. "I'm yours." Sophie promised.
