The Battle of Saragarhi, often called the Thermopylae of the East, is the saga of valour and sacrifice of twenty-one Sikh soldiers who intrepidly faced more than ten thousand enemy soldiers and fought till their very last breath. Never had the world known of such courage before. The impact of their action had been such that the history of India could have been much different had they decided not to fight. In this book, Paramjeet Singh and Sanjit Singh, two young men whose lineage connects them with Saragarhi, explore the existing relics of the battle and recount the tale of unparalleled courage and fortitude of the twenty-one heroes of Saragarhi.
