No this has nothing to do with Death Note. It was based on a Tumblr post that asked people to write a story in a world where people could see each others' death days but not their own. Meaning that everyone can see how much time other people have till their death. But unfortunatelly no one can see their own dying day.

They say when you're about to die, your life flashes before your eyes. I never doubted that. But, what they don't tell you is this - When you're about to kill the only person in the world who truly loves you, your memories with that person also flash before your eyes.
