CeCe Jones never thought she would make it to her senior year of high school. She always thought that she would get held back long enough until they ended up kicking her out because she was too old to be in school. But here she was, just two semesters until graduation. Just two semesters before all her friends went their own directions in life. Just two semesters to try to fit in a lifetime worth of memories.

Senior year was going to be one for the books, CeCe knew it. She was finally the top dog at school, she was finally going to be an adult, she was finally ready to live her life to the fullest. She couldn't do any of those things without her best friends, though. Her friends were the whole reason she continued her schooling, and they would be the ones to get her out of it.

Or would they?

With being a senior in high school came all the pressure of figuring out whether to go to college or jump right into a job. Along with that pressure was the intense pressure on Shake It Up, Chicago! that pushed CeCe to be better than ever before. All this pressure did not do good for CeCe Jones, and it proved difficult to maintain the relationships she had spent years developing. It proved difficult to even remain sane.

When the world started crashing around CeCe, she was afraid to face it alone. What she didn't know was that she already had the world at her disposal in the form of her friends.

Together, they were the people who kept each other thriving. She was the ice to his wounds, soothing the pain he tried so hard to hide, while he was the water to her roots, nourishing the parts of her she kept buried deep. "The moon's really beautiful, if you think about it," I blurted. "Yeah?" he asked, mild amusement and curiosity mingling in his voice. "Yeah," I confirmed. "It's just- there's something about the moon that's ethereal. I don't really know how to describe it, but it's a constant in life. You can't always see it, but you have to trust that it's out there somewhere. And when you can see it, it's all bright and shiny and overcomes the darkness." I paused, searching for the right words. "I don't know. I guess it's a reminder that there are good things out there, even if you can't see them... And it's cool to think that someone hundreds of miles away is staring at the exact same moon as you. It makes me feel not so alone in life." Turning my head, I saw him staring at me intently with a thoughtful look on his face. "Too deep for a Friday night?" I laughed nervously, feeling my face grow hot. And this was precisely why I didn't go to parties. He shook his head and seemed to snap out of his daze. "It was deep in a good way." *** SHE was quiet & left out. "Fuck, Roxy...." Leo whispers out breathily and I let out a plead as once again the beautiful colors of orange and blue from the sunset spill over our skin. "Please don't..." I plead and he grabs onto my hands, intertwining our fingers. "I'm not gonna spend my senior year making you think that I never wanted this, Roxy. I do, and I just want you to know that." He says and I swallow. :; Leo "Jace" McClure is what you think of when you think of a popular senior jock.
