When Luka, the new intern, arrives the summer after Oliver has left, Elio is troubled by his feelings for him and scared because of how his last romance left him. But when Oliver comes back to Italy to visit for the summer Elio is put into a situation where he has to decide what the next few months of his life are going to look like.
