When mankind woke up something they should not, they soon found themselves on the verge of extinction. Earth is now the world of the infected. The 5 percent of humans that escaped live on the last few islands where they have found shelter. Sent out on a scavenger mission, Shai and his friends head to the mainland. It was simple. Go in. Get supplies. Get out. To make things easier the area was bombed to keep the infected at bay. The Wildfire Virus. That's the illness the eggheads have called dubbed that has spread alarmingly fast all over the world. No could figure out at first how and where it came from or how even spread so quickly. I was on leave, visiting brother in Boston when the infection hit. Yesterday, the world was normal with its own conflicts. The next, millions get sick, hospitals are overwhelmed, and any sort of space was converted into a makeshift hospital to handle all the sick. On day 2 the sick died and awoke attacking the living. I tried to get out of the city, but the military closed off every major access point and now I'm trapped within, along with millions of undead.
