Beth lives a happy life, she has friends, a great school, and her whole life ahead of her.

But people always find a way to hurt her, only when she is happy, and enjoying her life.. She spends a lot of her days miserable and a lot of days happy, with laughter.

She lives in a little place called Port Hedland, W.A, a place called the Pilbara, where people appreciate their money, where you would think genuine people lived. Well thats what her mum thought when she moved up here because her boyfriend lived there.

Beth didn't like the idea of moving to Port Hedland but she had no choice, her mum pretty much didn't think twice about it, Beth was 11 and had her twelfth birthday then pretty much left before that year ended. But why?

She was adamant that she DIDN'T want to even move to Port Hedland, but then when it came to leaving Port Hedland, she really didn't want to.

In the end its just a pretty messed up life, where kids don't even get a say nor choice about anything.

Caroline is 16 when she suddenly decides that her perfectly normal and loving home life is absolutely and completely intolerable. Suddenly moving out of home in 1988 is the beginning of a 13 year journey. As the journey continues, the passage of time has no significance. Always with the ability to find the humorous side, each address marks another chapter in Caroline's life and is the backdrop for the people she meets and the events that occur. Accommodation varies from unheated rooms and houses with wheel-less cars jacked-up outside to Regency flats and rural cottages. Transportation means vary from a single use bicycle, to Betsa and the faithful Dwanetta. Flatmates vary from a lovely Brummie and a singing nun to a dying dog, a ginger laminator, a 3 nippled geek and an accidental spell with a local drugs baron. Events vary from harbouring boarding schoolgirls, exercising racehorses, the occasional rave, trading in shampoo and marmite on toast to looking for stolen laundry, going undercover and self-defence with a hockey stick. Jobs vary from not having one to shop work, bartending and au pair through to getting a toe on the corporate ladder. There is infatuation, and love from various sources so there is also disappointment, and breakups by varying means and for various reasons. Education varies from a bit of formal study to a large dollop of the University of Life. The latter being the real reason Caroline left home in the first place - to grow up in her own way through her own experiences with no-one else to blame but herself and the interesting hand that life deals along the way. Caroline moves home 19 times, only to find that the 20th move takes her to the last place she ever expected to be. Back where she started. Things aren't always as they seem...

It is said that love is strong, but is it strong enough to save her life? *A/N : Hello, thank you for taking the time to read this :3! But I just wanted to say, this story is being edited. It was my very first story ever written, so it needs some love. I was 13 years old when I wrote this, so as you may imagine, it is not the best. But I love this story, so I am going to fix it to the best that I can because I want you to love it too. The chapters that are in the middle of being editing will say so :) Thank you!

"Talk to you about it?" I asked with a dark laugh. "it's not as easy as you make it sound," "Yes, Garret! Talking! You know what that is right? It's very easy! You just open your mouth and let the words that are in your head, come out of your mouth." "It's not that simple," I fought down emotions that were building up. "Yes, it is! See, i'm doing it right now!" "No-it's not!" "Yes!" "No!" "Yes! just talk, dang it!-" "You just expect it to be easy to talk about my dead parents?! About how guilty I feel for not visiting their grave for the past 11 years?! I didn't even realize how long it's been, I had pretty much forgotten about them for 11 years! Do you know what kind of guilt is eating at me right now!" I shouted in angst, my hands grabbing at the clothes on top of my head and pushing it into myself, wanting to just be shielded away from everything I was feeling, guilt, sadness, from thinking about more people I've lost in my life. Before I could even react, Keeley's tiny arms wrapped themselves around my torso. ~

Cole the Not So Stereotypical Jock Being the most popular guy that girls all want to be with and all guys want to be should make you feel on top of the world, right? Not always, especially if you have to keep the fact that you can barely afford food a secret at all costs. And then the new girl shows up with her amazing dance moves and intoxicatingly confusing logic, and he can't seem to get her out of his head. She isn't the favorite girl of the school, not to mention his friends, and she doesn't show any interest towards him, but he has to try. The girl with the mysterious ways has got him wrapped around her scarred little finger. Not Andy Being the girl with no friends is never easy- especially when you have major trust issues and problems that can only be discussed with a shrink. That's why instead of slowly letting people into her life, she chose to shut them out completely. It seems easier that way, which is until she moves to Bangor, Maine and catches the eye of Cole, the football quarterback and heart throb of the school. He makes her feel things that she didn't think we're capable, and he shows how to make a bad situation into something semi-tolerable. It gets her thinking that maybe cliche boys with secrets aren't such a bad thing. During their 17th year, Andy and Cole must face the problems of high school, social hierarchy, their pasts, relationships, trust, friendships, and even love. Both of them knowing that stories like this never happen to kids like them, but they're willing to try anyway.
