All that matters is forgetting. Jungkook's life is uprooted after what still feels to him like a horrible nightmare, and his home, passion for the sport he devoted his childhood to, and only friend are ripped away from him before he even had a chance to say goodbye. He spends his days living for the adrenaline and burn that swimming gives him, pushing himself too hard, too far, all the time because all he wants is to forget, to repress the memories that try so hard every day to break through the thick walls he has put up to protect his fragile heart.
Taehyung is a bright boy who makes friends everywhere he goes. He sees Jungkook in his class one day and can't help but be enamoured by him (not just for his muscles, of course). He sees the sadness in Jungkook's eyes, and decides that he will do anything he can to help the boy learn how to be happy again.
But Jungkook doesn't want happiness. He wants his old friend back.
