Red Moreno was never supposed to be the story I'd have to end.
So I made a list-13 things to do before leaving him. Thirteen moments that will make him laugh, get mad, roll his eyes, and maybe even fall in love with me all over again. Thirteen memories to make sure he'll never forget me, even when I'm gone.
But here's the problem with lists: once you start crossing things out, you realize some goodbyes aren't as easy to plan.
Because how do you leave the person who feels like home?
