Fate. Everyone swears it's beautiful. That the goddess knows best. That when she hands you a mate, it's the perfect match, written in the stars. Sounds sweet, right? Yeah, tell that to me-an omega who's spent his whole life being treated like trash by the pack that should've been my family. My father, the almighty Alpha of the BloodRose Shadows, made sure I knew what disappointment looked like before he walked out. My mom stayed, but that didn't stop the whispers, the stares, the hands that shoved me lower every chance they got. Around here, "omega" just means servant. Disposable. Forgettable. Now the clock's ticking. In two days, I turn eighteen. In two days, the goddess will chain me to someone for the rest of my life. My mate. My "perfect other half." Can you feel the excitement? Yeah, me neither. This is my story-of fate's cruel joke, of blood that never protected me, and of the bond I never asked for. Because destiny doesn't always save you. Sometimes, it just breaks you.
