What happens if the weather on the day Tanjiro's family were to die was extremely cloudy and the sun wasn't visible? This is the story about how Tanjiro and his siblings survived and no one became a demon. But they still need saving and to be protected, not by from a what, but to be protected from a who.
Tanjiro meets Muzan in the town and the things he does and say convinces Muzan to take a different approach to the Kamado family.
How will the everyone react to the determination and kindness that is Tanjiro Kamado?

It was unfortunate when Tanjiro twisted his ankle but Nezuko was all too willing to take the charcoal to town in his place. She returns home to a blood-covered scene that makes no sense. She reunites with her brother who is no longer human and shares only a few words before disappearing: "Hide... he'll find you!"
