A Gender-neutral fanfiction. Set in Detroit.
"Goddamn it, Gavin," I murmured, setting my coffee cup down, readjusting my position to a more professional stance.- Well, as professional as one could get in a swivel chair. "Lay off!" I spoke, the android and human pausing in their one-sided bickering as I stood up. "He's not a toy! Toys are replaceable, but.." I stopped, eyes flickering to the right in slight embarrassment as I reached forward, lightly grasping the Android's wrist; tugging him toward me and away from Gavin. "But.. Connor's not."

A little Connor x Reader I'll work on from time to time. Everyone needs it, right?

Graduating, moving out, buying a house in an older section of Detroit, Y/N had planned out a large portion of their life, a huge chunk of it to be spent what they had dreamt of doing when younger.- Being a detective. Becoming an officer would've been fine, but wheres the fun in that.

For the last three years, they've worked hard(as hard as one could work on reports with around four hours of sleep and an energy drink addiction), even managing to get on their long-term Homicide-partner's good side- It fades in and out with their ridiculous antics. However, when working late-night at home, they receive a few knocks on their door. Getting up, they sleepily answer the door.- Only to be met by none other than an android of a peculiar model, monotonously asking where their partner is at this time of night.

I won't lie I kinda hate myself for writing this but the ideas kept flowing so here we go It would take a long time for androids to be equal to humans, but at least the first steps had been made. Connor, a prototype for a detective android who managed to go deviant and form a friendship with an old police Lieutenant who drinks just a little too much was one of those androids who liked to believe he had a hand in the outcome of the Android Revolution. The rules were when the Deviant case was solved, Connor would return to Cyberlife, but now that androids were people he could stay in the police department- and you bet your ass he did. Everything was going smoothly for about a month or so until Connor and his best partner Hank are chasing after a serial killer and Connor gets injured on the job. Will Hank be able to finish the case without his partner there every step of the way? And an even bigger question: How will the Lieutenant handle Connors replacement - the RK900? Story length: 10,003 Words - This is based after the ending where everyone lives and they essentially get equal rights for androids - This is not Hank x Connor, it's more of a father/son relationship - Trigger Warnings: Cussing, drinking, bodies and typical crimescene environments, drugs, etc. - This is kinda a lazy fanfic- AKA I really love these characters and had a scene in my head, then formed a plot around it and did my best to make it interesting lol. - I made the cover in Desygner - Characters belong to the game Detroit: Become Human and the company that made it, Quantic Dream. Also I just want say that I wrote this story and then matched the cover and it matches so well like honestly wtf

The android revolution failed, but Detroit is still reeling from the aftermath. One woman, Dr. Clara Hayes, has always been fascinated with androids, especially deviants. She's devoted herself to researching and understanding deviant psychology. One day, she is approached by Cyberlife, who stop her research and blackmail her into working for them instead, instructing her to find a solution to deviancy. To make sure she does her job properly, a special prototype is reactivated: the RK800, codenamed Connor, the android who killed the deviant leader and stopped the revolution. He's given the mission to watch her, protect her, gain her trust, and find out what she's hiding. Connor is intrigued by this enigmatic doctor, but she refuses to let him in. Tangled in a treacherous web where failure means death or worse, Clara and Connor navigate through the secrets and lies, each doing their best to complete their missions. Will he be able to break through her wall and find out what she's hiding, or will she resist and cause him to fail? Will they find the answers in time, or will deviants be wholly eliminated? Only time will tell. Highest Rankings: #1 in Detroitbecomehuman 4/30/24 ***This is a fanfiction for Detroit: Become Human. F/N L/N was a detective for the Detroit Police Department. Her father was on the force and she decided to join the force shortly before his death 2 years ago now. She was born in 2012, and witnessed the first machine to pass the Turing Test. She'd spent over half of her life with androids around, she was used to them, she accepted them as a part of society. After the passing of her father, Hank presumed the role of her father figure, upholding his promise to the man he'd known for so long. They were partners and worked together on many cases. What happens when a spanner, in the form of the RK800 android Connor, is thrown into their lives to help solve the deviancy cases? After all, they all bleed blue right? TW for depression and suicide in this story. It's more prominent/spoken about from Chapter 5 onwards!
