A sand coloured dragon sat at the window staring out at the golden horizon. He would be attending Jade Mountain Academy, things would change wether or not Qibli wanted them to. Maybe they would change for a good reason, maybe it won't be so bad, maybe, just maybe..
Winter had never pleased his parents, in fact he was quite the disappointment. The plan was, to send him away to school, where he wouldn't be embarrassing his family. Winter definitely did not want to go, Icewings are the most superior of all the tribes, plus he was royalty, he should get a choice! Why should he have to share the same air as the other tribes!?
Two opposites, two different tribes, and most definitely, solemates.

Frigid Shadows: A Winterwatcher Fanfic
Alrighty then, this is a Winterwatcher story for all of the souls who got crushed at the end of book 10 in Wings of Fire, including mine. Moon is starting to have second thoughts about if choosing Qibli was really the best choice after all. Meanwhile, Winter is living alone in Sanctuary, no friends, a cramped, run-down apartment, and is pretty much broke after his research on scavengers earned him no money. And on top of it all, there's a new super villain on the loose, one more ruthless than Darkstalker ever was, and he won't stand to let anything get in the way of his master plan... when the Jade Winglet reunites once more, will they be able to work together and take down this new threat, or will their attempts mean nothing? Moon has sadly passed away, leaving Winter and Qibli half dead. they both are crying heaps of dragon. Mostly Qibli, Moon was expecting an egg, and it cracked when she died. but of course, Turtle had to come to the rescue. he enchanted an egg that would never hatch on its own to be Qibli and Winter's dragonet. he took them both to sanctuary and gave it to them. then he flew off faster then an eagle set on fire.
