You're fresh to the world of professional acting, although you've been training your whole life. Specifically, you have performed as several testimonies for mock trials at Wammy's House to help train L and his successors over the years. But now, he really needs you.
L's most recent case entails several murders, in which all the victims were last seen with a particular suspect. To prove this man's guilt, L needs you to go undercover in order to get close to him and get concrete evidence or maybe even a confession. As the case drags on for longer than expected, L may begin to have a confession of his own...
This is kinda a self-insert, but in case you're a broadway nut like me I made it an x reader so you can enjoy the ride.
Also there's an original dude in this named Victor. Don't worry you'll like him.
Any and all criticism is appreciated and welcome! I wrote this as a way to improve my own writing in a way that would motivate me.

This stared as a three part oneshot series in my other book, but people loved the idea so much they kept requesting more. So I've moved all the oneshots into their own book as they follow the same story line and ended up long enough to be a short story. DID is a very real and very hard to live with trauma disorder and I am in to way trying to glorify it. I just thought the idea of each alias being a different person very interesting. After being held hostage for years, K, a former student of Wammy's House, finds a way to participate in the investigation of Kira alongside L and Watari, with the secret hope that they can set her and Bjarne free from the criminal organization which has been hunting her down almost all her life. However, she must first make amends for the serious crimes for which the Wammy's House director and star pupil accuse her. What secrets lurk in her past? And which is the role of Nate River in all of this? This tale, in which several characters are OCs (starting with the protagonist), is an alternative to the canonical investigation of the first seven volumes of the manga, exploring in part an imaginary past of the students of Wammy's House, L's family and origins, and an alternative concept of justice to that of the two famous protagonists. The enemy to be faced is not Kira alone; the successful outcome of the investigation will therefore depend on L and K's ability to come to terms with their past.
