Brittany Lawson always dreamed of flying in the crystal blue sky and sleeping on clouds. So imagine her surprise when she wakes up one morning with a pair of wings sticking out of her back, is ,picked up/taken away, by two idiot boys, (that were very cute idiots I might add), and taken to a boarding school for the 'gifted' called 'Feathered Flight Academy' , (F. The Random Moments of JMA
This is the beginning of the story of a friend group of dragons attending a much more developed and populated version of Jade Mountain Academy. Starting in the Quartz Winglet in the year 5058 A.S., these students live average lives and as the series goes on, things develop and change, mentally and physically for them. I would consider this a Wings of Fire fanfiction, although it's a bit complicated as it's based off of real life. The dragons in this are all my classmates as their Wings of Fire OCs, (meaning some of the OCs aren't mine) or, if they don't know wings of fire and/or don't have an OC, just them as a WoF dragon. Since it's based off of real life, it doesn't have much of a plot, so be prepared for that. ''Pitiful little fireless wonder!'' someone screeched jubilantly from the crowd. Soon they were joined by others and it became a booming, echoing chant. Charr smirked at what he had created, joining in with a rhythmic stamp of his feet. "THIS IS WHAT YOU ARE!" he cried over the call of the crowd. Sclera is a dragon, constantly overshadowed by the golden scales of her brother. With no fire of her own and 'the complexion of a damned icewing' she has lived her life in the skywing hatchery as an outcast, surviving on the scraps and pity of others. However when she's finally given the chance to escape the fiery shadows holding her captive and attend Jade Mountain Academy everything changes. Suddenly she has friends, allies and an irritatingly hot frenemy to help her battle her insecurities and the cruel words of others to find her true strength, locked deep within. Can she rise above her title of 'fireless wonder' even as a perilous journey is forced upon her and the rest of the Copper Winglet to stop the continent from falling into disastrous conflict once again.
