In 2106, the state of New Mexico has little interest to outsiders, the different raider gangs control portions of the southern part of the state while wastelanders inhabit settlements that are either heavily guarded or so remote the raiders can't bother messing with them. Life is peaceful until one day when a new faction arrives that may be friend, or may be foe.

Many communities will rise from the nuclear ash for most to fail. In this world, there are no good guys; there are no bad guys. Everyone is just trying to get by and survive. The story takes a first-person point of view from a character who is pushed out of her home and into an unknown world. This world is mostly under control by two main factions at war though; one being the self-proclaimed United States and the other being the self-proclaimed owners of the counter, the Enclave. This story has many ups and downs and level offs. It has frustrations, situations, shows emotion, and thinking of the main character.
