Claire has been dancing her entire life. from preschool to now her junior year of highschool, she's dedicated her entire life to pirouettes, long plane rides, and the constant drama of the Liberté Dance studio. When a new student, Stephanie, enters the company, everyone seems appalled by her jugged moves and sharp mouth, especially the main dance instructor Mrs. Rochette, Claire's way from the little league dance studio to the Jean-Baptiste, the most renowned studio to date. When Claire is assigned a duo dance with stephanie, everyone seemed to sigh, pat her on the back, and show their heavy "remorse". She heard the whispers behind herself, that there was no way she would win or succeed in the future, that she had no chance without her "partner". However, unknowing to them, Claire, though a bit heartbroken by the loss of her partner, wonders if this is her chance to finally live up to the studios name, stop tip toeing over life, and find freedom.
