When an erudite transfers to dauntless she catches the eyes for a dauntless leader. Katy has been warned to stay away from Eric but for some reason she can't. 

Eric will do anything for her to go out with him, even if me has to change who he has become. Can Eric change back to the man he was or will he forever be a heartless killer? Will Katy run away when she finds out about his past? Or will he run when he finds out about her past?

This is a backstory for Eric. I've taken bits and pieces from the Divergent series and also the movie. I also used the book about Four that recently came out. It takes you through his journey through initiation on in to leadership. He also develops a love interest that isn't in either the books or the movie. I wanted him to have a softer side that only she'll see.
