"As the chief continued talking you lazily opened the file in front of you and glanced down at the picture of the missing girl. Everything around you seemed to fade to the background as you stared at the picture in front of you. You felt shockwaves through your body as you looked into her stormy gray eyes. There was something familiar about her, about those eyes, like you had seen them before. But you were certain you had never met this girl. You would have remembered meeting her.....the thought of someone taking advantage of her kindness ripped at your stomach. You were going to find her. You had to find her. "

Emma Hendricks is your typical girl skirting through her 20s trying to figure out life on her own in a new city when suddenly her life gets turned around by 2 men. The first, Jax Harrison, a monster who abducted her, tortured her, and raped her. The second, Flip Zimmerman, a detective who rescued her, and protects her every day. Now she must learn how to handle her growing feelings for the man who rescued all while trying to escape her haunting past.

Flip Zimmerman is Salt Lake City Police Dept.'s best detective. He is calm, cocky, and focused. But that all changes when the missing persons case for Emma Hendricks falls into his lap. The only thing that matters to him now is finding Emma, keeping her safe, and tracking down the man who did this to her.

This story is told from both Flip and Emma's POV. It follows Flip and Emma as they work out their feelings for each other and try to escape the psychotics of an obsessed stalker.
