Violet was in a happy relationship with Liquorice and Jax, living with them both, along with her two friends, Clementine and Hydrangea. Until one day, Hydra goes missing. Violet watches as her world shatters in front of her, with Liquorice and Jax fighting more and more, and Clem disappearing in the middle of the day and coming back at night. Liquorice eventually breaks off the relationship with Jax, and Violet is forced to choose who to go with. She decides to stay with Liquorice, and is happy with her choice. Jax, alone and angry, kills Liquorice one night, and has Violet all to himself. Clem eventually leaves the abusive household, leaving Violet alone. Devastated, Violet runs away, but to where?
