Matrix of Chance: An Among Us Fanfiction
"And if I fail?" I asked my handler. "We'll find someone else to replace you. But I don't think you'll fail. I've got several bets that are placed on you winning." I gulped. "Why?" "Everyone loves an underdog. Just don't blow my money. Kill that crew." I swallowed and forced my words out. "Yessir." Without a doubt, 3718's life was miserable. From birth, their entire life was geared towards becoming something to be used for another purpose. They were a part of a game in where they and another Impostor competed to kill off a crew for entertainment. Whoever killed the least amount of crewmates by the end was flatlined. Along with that, there was also the fact that 3718 had to worry about getting ejected and dying that way as well. Try and resist and you got shot. Get caught and you were ejected. Survive and you live with the knowledge that you ruined uncountable lives. In a race against time, against your own, what'll happen when 3718 gets a chance to escape it all? TRIGGER WARNING: death, blood, violence, heavy depression and anxiety, suicidal thoughts This book contains characters that are part of the Lgbtq+ community, in particular genderqueer characters, an ace-spec character, and a polyamorous relationship. Orders and Conscience: An Among Us Fanfiction
The door slid open without a sound and I found myself punched in the gut. All along the walls were pictures of friends and family. How could I take this away from someone? All of this opportunity and hope? Who was I to decide that he should die? I saw fearful grey eyes staring up at me. "I'm sorry about this. It'll be over soon." Looking away, I slit his throat. His body fell to the ground with a thud and I took a step back. I had just killed someone whose name I didn't even know... K'dela has always been trained to always follow orders. No matter how you think about it, no matter how wrong it seems to be, never, ever, question it. Your life might depend on it. But when orders are to kill others, doesn't it mean that you're sacrificing others, potentially thousands of others, just to save one life; yourself? Honestly, K'dela never had a big problem with it, until she met someone who might just be worth defying orders for. TRIGGER WARNING: Violence, blood, death. This book contains characters that are part of the Lgbtq+ community, in particular gay relationships, bisexual characters (not openly stated), aro and ace-spec characters, and a transgender character (post-transition). Get ready for betrayal at every step, secrets kept, and murder just around the corner. Clasher has been consistently told one thing since his childhood: Never let anyone know who you are. This, coupled with the fact that he's on dangerous missions half the time, doesn't let anyone find out anyway. But danger looms closer, and he will soon have to make a choice. Either keep his secret (and himself) safe, or risk it all to help his new crew. TW: Blood and violence, mentions of su!c!de but does not go in-depth into the subject. The people of MIRA are currently being terrorized and murdered by some unknown crime syndicate and they present themselves as Impostors. Trust is out of the question and deception rules the field. To see through imitations, perhaps having a better understanding on others is just as essential in this critical situation. The Among Us Series is heavily inspired by the popular and well-known game of Among Us made by Innersloth. The story revolves around certain teams in MIRA who tries to discover the mastermind behind this enigmatic chaos, to seek the hypocritical truth is the very goal for each and every one in the crew. An Imposter Among Us
"Congratulations, Miss Duri. You're leading the fifty-fifth voyage to Polus." My initial giddiness wore away under a new and frankly uninvited sense of suspicion. Only an hour ago they were set on selecting anyone but me. What made them change their mind so quickly? "We were wrong about you, Genesis," the woman said. "We now believe you have the potential to do what your unlucky peers could not. However, you should know that there is no room for mistakes." Nareem leaned forward and picked up his chin. On a normal basis, he was about as intimidating as a rabbit. Now, though, he was pretty close to the office cat's level. "Don't mess this up for us, Miss Duri. Otherwise the consequences will be a lot worse than death." --- Genesis has always wanted to lead a mission to the Polus Space Station, orbiting a Jupiter moon millions of miles away. While each attempt to get there has been compromised by the scheming, violent Conclave, Genesis's hopes to become the next captain of the Skeld have not once faltered. When she finally gets the opportunity of a lifetime, Genesis quickly discovers that, despite her caution, all is not what it seems. Her superiors have maintained minimal contact, and she has reason to believe any one of her crewmates could be an imposter. Once the killings begin, she must act quickly to outwit the Conclave before she and all her crewmates are murdered in cold blood. --- **The characters are original, but this story is based off a game called Among Us. The concept of spaceship crewmates being killed by an imposter does not belong to me, but to the game developers (Innersloth). They also came up with the names "Polus" and "Skeld", as well as the layout of the space station most of the story is set in and the tasks crewmates are required to do. ***Content warnings: murder, peril, mentions of bloodComplete
