This book is a mother/daughter relationship between rose quartz and the reader, whom I call Lillian, and a brother/sister relationship between her and Steven. In the beginning Steven is originally 12, then there will be a time skip to Steven Universe: The Movie and Steven Universe Future. Lillian is six years older than Steven.
