A man wakes up after being rescued not knowing who he is or where he is from. His entrance into this world was everything but common. The world is strange and magical. A mystery of his origins must be eventually found out and to see if he could ever regain or return to what was lost.

This is an original Character origin story set in the campaign world of Exandria. Written by Mathew Mercer for his campaign world for the hit series Critical Role. Explorer's Guide to WildeMount published by Wizards of the Cost and Critical Role. As well as the Critical Role Web series will be used as reference material. There is no plans at this time to include the main story Characters,The Mighty Nien, or Vox Machina.

Knowledge of Critical Role or Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition. Is not necessary to enjoy this story. But would be beneficial.

This is my story set in a world I fell in love with. I hope you will join me on this journey and as I attempt to write a great story. Of a man who searches for meaning and purpose in a foreign world. But fate already it seems to have one already in mind.

Xoris

41 parts Complete Mature

He was a hero. He was respected, beloved, with the title of The Thing of Eyes and Teeth won from battle that he could carry like a trophy. Thousands of the Stained that came over the mountains at the Crack of Dawn had fallen by his hands. Xoris could recite this to himself daily, but it was getting harder to deny the urges and instincts that lay restless beneath his skin, immoral, invasive thoughts keeping him awake. When a failed mission from the king wracks him with guilt beyond his handlings, Xoris leaves the kingdom of Korim to the edges of the crack in the sky. No quest, no final destination in mind, with the only Beast to slay being the voices in his mind, and the only treasure to seek, himself.
