As they embark on the Victory Tour, Katniss agrees to be friends with Peeta, but quickly realizes she wants more. Their romance becomes real, but as pressure mounts to prove their love to the world, they do the only thing they can think to save them and the people they love: get engaged. But the lines of their public and private lives blur when they decide to marry outside of the pressure of the Capitol, holding a private toasting for themselves in an attempt to preserve as much as their relationship for themselves as they can. As the Quarter Quell is announced, Katniss and Peeta prepare for the Games, each determined to sacrifice themselves for the other's survival. But everything changes when Katniss unexpectedly discovers she is pregnant.
