To Marinette Dupain-Cheng, every powerful person is all the same ━ruthless when it comes to those who are powerless━ Marinette was the kind who wouldn't judge others based on the abilities they held within them, or how powerful they were more than other, or even based on their appearance and their status. No. In her eyes, just as long as you were fair to everyone, even those who had no abilities, you were good to go. She was born as a powerless person and couldn't help feeling anger from the pain and unfairness those ones like her had to go through.

So when she all of a sudden obtains abilities and accidentally uses them on a mother and her children who were in danger, being crowned as "the brave girl who saved three lives", Marinette decides to use her powers to achieve the goal she's always had ever since she was a young girl. And what better way to do so than attend Heroes Academy. Everyone else's goal is to be a superhero who saves lives from villains. But while her goal is similar to theirs, she finds it to be a lot different than every other basic goals around her.

She simply wants to be a hero for the powerless ones.
