She had given him everything, from the softest of kisses to the deepest trenches of her love, except for one thing he didn't want, and that broke her heart. 

After one unexpected turn of exchanges between the two, their love turned into a poisonous flowerbed, where if one treads in they would be attracted by the sweet nectar surrounded by thick bushes of prickles.

His words had her on edge, he had the audacity to say that after the amount of times she heard about him, about how he broke her again and again throughout the years. What used to send fireworks in her stomach, send electric shivers down her skin, now just felt like a broken record, the overly used same sentence that rolls off his mouth like nothing at all.

"I love me too, Mr. Zhongli," What she said seemed to be a joke, but her smile did not reach her eyes as she glanced at him before walking away, not wanting to be near him any longer.
