Sasuke leaves a lot. First when finding out Sakura is pregnant staying away until Sarada is born, stays for a month. Second, after having Sarada. Sakura is left all alone to raise an infant while also working as a ninja. Lee was always around when she needed him to be when she needed support, attention, and help with a baby.
There are a few things that are not 100% cannon, but it is pretty close.
