I've become a shell of the man I once was; my pride shattered, my valor a facade, my hope stolen. I no longer fear death but crave it. There are days when I'd sell my soul for the high they once offered me, and I know that makes me a terrible person, but I'm damned anyway. Sometimes I wonder if I could flourish in freedom, or if it would make me want to end my own life more than I already do. The darkness that shrouds my vision is something I'm not sure I could live without; sometimes being ruthless feels like the only way, brutal murder is a release for me, and now I crave violence. My life is a crooked fairytale, my dreams a dark abyss of restraint and manipulation, and my desires are a twisted shadow of what they used to be. It might seem like I need saving, but I'm not sorry, I'm not in control.
