Alaska has never been the typical teenage girl. Considering she works in a strip club might be the answer...

At a young age, Alaska was verbally abused by her father and never had a mother who died giving birth to Alli. Alaska runs away at the tender age of sixteen, pretends to be eighteen, and becomes known as Sugar. 

That is until she's caught by police and returned to her fragile home, where her alcoholic father couldn't care less... not that that's enough, Alaska is forced to go to a Catholic All Girls School, where she becomes the scum of the earth.

Alaska is forced through her teenage years with a fragile life, irony, a bully, and maybe some love.
