Escaping the past was only the beginning.
Once a brilliant scientist for the Black Organization, Shiho Miyano now hides behind the name Haibara Ai-quiet, cautious, and living a life that feels borrowed. She may have fled their control, but the echoes of their manipulation still follow her, whispering guilt in every shadow, and haunting her heart like a hollow.
Though her new life offers warmth, it still feels cold, as if a piece of her soul was sold. Surrounded by care, yet feeling alone, she wonders if peace is something she's ever truly known. Trapped by her past, she wonders if peace is hers to claim, or if she's just running in circles, too scared to face the blame.
The only trust she offers is to the shrunken detective-her beacon, her light. But another stands close, quietly offering his aid, still, she hesitates. Unsure of his true intentions, unsure of what to believe in a world full of dangers.
When the past creeps back and the shadows take flight, will she finally decide to trust him, or keep running from what's right?
