Kendall gazes into the piercing blue eyes in front of her own. She ruffles his dark hair and watches his eyes glisten in delight. She watches her son laugh, well attempt to given he's only four months old. She then looks at her engagement ring and sighs. Her eyes shift back to those blue eyes.
How did everything come to this? She had him. He was hers, finally. She had the chance to take him into her arms and hold him forever and never let him go.... but she had done just that. She let him go.
