Jamie Fearnsby. A girl who doesn't really have much interesting about her except her past. The past has left it's mark but now she's moved to a new school. She wants a new start. One where she's not just what everyone else says she is, but the past is tricksy and hard to outrun. There are hints everywhere she goes and her shiny new friends barely know what's going on yet.

Meghan Adams. A girl who's future is out there and waiting. But her anxiety is starting to creep into her life. When she meets Jamie, a new friend is exactly what she needs. Her current friends Jordyn and Maili like Jamie too and a little group forms. School isn't easy for the mismatched quartet but they have eachother until they leave.

As Jamie hides from her past in Meghan's future things begin to change. But will any of it really change them for the better? Can anybody really rub off the mark of the past?
