"Out of Their Element," is a show that tests celebrities, to see of they can handle the responsibilities of real people. Twenty celebrities are selected each year, to correspond with twenty ordinary people. The celebrities are sent off to the people's household for four weeks, without knowing beforehand where they are going. In the last week, they should be able to fully replace the person they were assigned to. The twenty ordinary people are taken to a hotel, where they become the judges of how the celebrities have done. The winning celebrity is awarded with an all expense paid trip around the world on a yacht. Teen heartthrob Luke Hemmings is assigned to sixteen-year-old Adeline Hammond. Regardless of her appearance, she doesn't live like a normal teen. A year ago, her mother's family had a get together. At the end, the parents all went out to eat, leaving Adeline with her grandparents, to watch her brothers and cousins. Unfortunately, the restaurant burned down, killing everyone who was there. Adeline found that she would be watching the nine children much longer than was expected, if only to prevent them all from being separated in the foster system. On top of that, she juggles schoolwork, caring for her elderly grandparents, and making enough money to feed the large family.
