Between the Blacks

Eleanor Peters had spent most of her time at Hogwarts in the shadows. She liked to keep to herself and her studies, but felt most out of her bubble at home, where her neighbor had inevitably became her best friend. Although she would never be pictured with Regulus Black at school, they were inseparable back in their little hometown.

One night however, with nothing but the moonlight lighting her path, she was dared to go into the Shrieking Shack...the most haunted building in Britain. Regulus who was naturally always the head of the antics advised her not to, but she disregarded his warnings and followed through with the dare anyway.

That one summer night had changed her entire life, and when school started again a group of older boys who called themselves "The Marauders" were starting to cozy up to her in a suspicious way, doing anything they could to prevent her from sharing what she had seen on that night.

Caught between wanting her normal quiet life back, and being thrown into a chaotic secret-ridden group, she struggled to maintain her friendship with Regulus Black. He hated his older brother Sirius, and she was stuck in a double life between the two.
