Being a nobody is no fun at all. Which is why high school sophomore Alina Davies is bent on claiming a spot with Elm Valley's most popular clique: The Royals.

After being forcefully assigned to tutor Elm's newest addition to the rebel-bad-boy squad, and publicly locking lips with the enigmatic "Prince of Hollywood" and Elm Valley's golden boy, her name is on everyone's lips.

Pretend-dating a jock was never a part of her plans for the year, but it grants her a pass into the inner circle of The Royals, which she decides to transform from within, starting with playing along with the schemes of the Senior Royals to overthrow the current queen bee; to secretly digging for, as well as blackmailing and releasing dirt on whoever poses a threat to her rise to the top.

But just when things are beginning to fall according to plan and Alina's enjoying the perks of being the Alpha female, a mysterious blogger turns up with proof of that one mistake of her's that's good enough to destroy every plan she has laid out.
