Magic is not like it is portrayed in the movies. When you find out you are a sigma (significantly magical) it is not a joyous occasion. No, finding out usually comes with a lot of screaming, crying and not an insignificant amount of blood. Then comes the training.
Emery Abernathy has spent the better part of the past six years trying to forget. Forget the months she spent in agony, forget the raging inferno under her skin, forget the night she watched her family murdered. All she wants is to be normal again, but when the leaders of the magical community decide to lift the veil, she is forced into the spotlight.
Exposed as the highest ranking sigma in New Mexico, Emery is forced to claim the small college town she lives as her territory. As she becomes a more powerful political figure in the magical community, her friends and school become the targets. Now, not only must Emery own up to her elemental status, but she must use and defend the system she abhors to save her friends from a fate worse than death.

The Misadventures of Anna Cabbot by MollyLouise
44 parts Complete Mature
Anna Cabbot is both a self-proclaimed ditchwitch and, by flat-lining during an unexpected visit from Death in cardiac ICU, an unwilling necromancer. The latter has her starting her new tenure in Buffalo with more side-eye and less friendship bracelets from the local magical community. Her first real friend - aside from her landlady neighbor - is a selkie named Carson who introduces himself by flopping out of the Niagara River onto her lap. Before that fateful night is out, Anna's a one-woman magical cavalry for the Lady of Lake Erie and knee deep in an adventure she didn't ask for. Nigel, the Lady of Lake Erie's brother, has gone missing. Anna's urge to help those in need has her - and Carson - diving headfirst into the mystery of Nigel's disappearance. First and foremost is a visit to the Bookkeeper, the top of Buffalo's magical food chain whose fingers are seemingly in every pie worth eating. They closest they come to the elusive Bookkeeper is Jamie Murdock, the hired muscle. Jamie's content to divulge what little he knows about Nigel, but he's more interested in Anna on a personal level, and Anna will have decide if her head and her heart are on the same page when it comes to her interest in him. And if that's not enough to deal with, Death keeps popping up at inopportune moments, and definitely not just for giggles. Anna's got more mysteries than she knows what to do with, and the few clues she has lead directly to the dark waters of Lake Erie and a bigger, more complicated magic than she's ever seen before - a magic she isn't sure she can handle.

"I didn't think that the first night at my new college would end with me getting my back broken. And not in the fun way. I'm kind of annoyed about it. Not how I wanted to kick this year off. I got into my dream school, University of Miami. Big change from New York but I've loved this school since I found out what college was. I was looking forward to this for a while. I had decided to spend my first two years at a nearby community college to get my pre rec classes out of the way and save money. It was definitely a good idea, but the vibe of the school was: go to class, go home, and that's it. So to get to a big university I was excited for that cliche "college experience." I was excited to get shitfaced at a frat party, hookup with random guys, join a sorority and probably regret it. It's where you're gonna make the most mistakes, I mean it's the first time most people have complete, or almost complete freedom. Every adult ever always told me "college is where you're supposed to find yourself" and I was really hoping that would reign true. To kick the year off I wanted to have a fun night out with my new roommates who weirdly didn't have any social media so I was moving in with no prior knowledge of these two other than their names Victoria Brooks and Chloe Whitlock. I wanted to get to know them and get to know the area I'd be living in for the next two years. So it was pretty inconvenient for this shit to happen on the first fucking night." * * * * * Morgan Sinclair had expectations for her junior year at her new college: parties, roommates, clubs, friends, even classes and assignments. Among those expectations, was not: finding out about the existence of vampires and the fact that she is one. After one *almost* fatal night out she's forced to navigate a whole new reality. Vampires, lycans, a psychopathic father, betrayal, and blood- and it'll all take her away from everything and everyone she's ever known.

The Choices That We Make Book 1

10 parts Complete Mature

Sarah was three weeks away from being the only Omega that she knew of to graduate from a University. She was already the only Omega to graduate from high school, middle school, and elementary school. Intelligence came naturally to Sarah so she didn't work like a slave like all of the other Omegas did. She repeatedly outwitted the higher ranking werewolves and humans. Sarah almost always got what she wanted, she just had to use her brains. When she though about her future and her only three options as an Omega (housewife, prostitute, or death), she decided she wanted a fourth option. She would have to use her intelligence to get her out of her pack and into human society which would force her to make life changing decisions. One thing was for sure, she didn't want a mate and was carefully avoiding it at all costs. Mates made everything worse. Will her choices make her even more miserable or will she find the happiness and freedom she has been looking for?
