After Tony defeats Whiplash (Iron Man 2) he and Pepper get engaged.

Wanting to adopt, Tony and Pepper visit a orphanage in Queens. What will Tony do when he sees the kid that tried to stand up to a murder bot sitting all alone in a corner?

This story is as the title says. It's a Tony Stark x reader fanfic. However, Pepper Potts doesn't exist. Well, she does, but for the sake of the story, she died. So, you took over as Tony's live-in assistant, you'd been working there for years and you bonded pretty quickly... I don't know how to write descriptions. Here are some notes you should know before you start reading though: 1. Obviously Pepper is dead 2. You met Tony during the events of the Avengers movie (you are an Avenger on a technicality) 3. Stephanie never really spoke, she was closed off and didn't like physical contact and Tony was okay with that. Less work for him. But after Tony disappears for three months, they both realize how much they cared for each other. Disclaimer!! I do not own any of Marvel Cinematic. The plot and characters all belong to the Russo Brothers and Stan lee. The only thing I own is Stephanie and her background.
