Dave Strider is your typical 15 year old coolkid; cocky, a smartass, ironic. But, he isn't as normal as you may think. As a baby, his bro immediately knew there was something wrong with him, and left him for dead to be raised by Dirk. Dirk, concerned for his little brother's growing symptoms, decided to take him to see a doctor. The pediatrician, however, couldn't find anything wrong with the child. Feeling hopeless, Dirk did the last hope option in his mind by bringing him to a young witch doctor. She easily figured out what was wrong with him, explaining he'd been cursed by his denizen. (Although, he had no idea as to what that meant.) She gave Dave a potion of both herbs and chemicals, explaining it would ease the pain while limiting the transformation to a mere few feathers or so. Grateful, Dave now spends his highschool days worrying more of popularity rather than his curse. But, when Karkat Vantas visits for a sleepover, things take a turn for the worst.


This is my first story on this account, so constructive criticism is much appreciated.All Rights Reserved

Karkat Vantas. A very unpopular, short, and short-tempered troll. He tries desperately to make it through his first year in a human school, but with everyone still not fully accepting trolls added on with his so-called 'stupid' blood color, he can't find a single person who understands him, yet. Dave Strider. Maybe one of the most popular guys in the school. Nobody knows why he's always wearing those cool ironic shades of his, and most people want to find out. But Dave himself wants his eyes to stay hidden, and nobody else has ever seen them. He thinks that if anyone did, they would make fun of him and his good reputation would immediately disappear. The two, basically opposites, find that they actually might get along and relate to each other. But who knows what a simple sentence could do? Lemon is in there, but you do not need to read it. It's not the best of lemons, it's just kinda ridiculous and stupid. Ps. In the early chapters I may say this is not a Karkat x reader. That was when I was still deciding whether or not this was in fact going to be a Dave x reader x Karkat. So don't pay attention to any of that, cause it is a Dave x reader x Karkat.
