From One World To Another

The end was upon him, and he knew it. However, he remained strong in his job and continued to bury the fallen. When given another chance, he took it against his better judgement, sending him into a whole new world.

He was reborn into a new world as the son of a grave digger. He despises the job, remembering little bits and pieces from his first world. Nevertheless, he loves his new family remains happy with them his first few years of life.

Then, war starts.

Horrible memories of war come back to his mind, all from his first life. He shared his concerns with the doctor, but he said they were mere fantasies. He wasn't put at ease, especially not when he was shaken awake in the middle of the night and told to run. He ran for the nearby forest and hid away under a bush.

Men and women that could jump from tree to tree came down and ran toward his house.

His father yelled, his mother screamed, and the people breathed fire that consumed his home.

Left with nowhere to go, he began to wander around the forest until collapsing on the verge of death.

So much for his new fate.

Then, someone poked him with a stick.
