I'm back with a new book. This time I'm going to show you the many amazing, frightening and sometimes downright strange species that were lost to time.

There are so many creatures that once roamed planet Earth, our own little oasis in the vast expanse of the desert we call the cosmos. But what were these creatures like? What would their everyday lives have been like?

Well I'm here to answer those questions. In every episode we'll take a look at a day in the life of one of these creatures. Whether it be the apex predator of its environment or a small creature at the bottom of the food chain, there's never a dull moment in the lives of these amazing creatures.

Note: As time passes, there's a strong possibility that my book will becomes less accurate as we discover more and more about Earth's past. But for now my book will provide the currently most accurate information we have. Also some of the creatures that are depicted in the episodes may not have been discovered in the exact location that this story takes place in, but rather in the areas around it.

This is the first volume of a series I'm making, every book/season will contain 12 episodes, after that I'll take a break before continuing this prehistoric saga.

Anyone who has played any Monster Hunter game will have probably noticed at some point that the ways these so called "monsters" act are strangely familiar, with their behavior being more animalistic than monstrous. This is without a doubt the thing that separates this franchise from all other monster hunting games; the beasts we do battle with are little more than this world's versions of animals. Now it's no secret that we're familiar with the lives of the humans, felyns, and wyverians, as we spend a lot of time with them; however, what about the monsters? Do we really know what the lives of these fantastical animals are like? In this book, we'll be exploring the hidden lives of the monsters themselves and see the world through their eyes. We'll learn what their everyday lives are like, the challenges they must face to survive in their natural habitats, and even how they manage to more or less peacefully coexist with other creatures and civilization. So if you want to see what it's like to live as a monster, join me on this journey, and discover the hidden lives of monsters. Warning! Because nature can be very unforgiving, some of these stories may contain potentially upsetting content to some readers, with gore, violence, and mating being some of them. This book is supposed to give an accurate representation of monster lives, so despite not being present in the games for obvious reasons, the simple fact is that these less palatable things definitely do happen when nobody's looking. Finally, all pictures belong to their rightful owners.

What if we were the first in our part of the galaxy to discover the secret of faster than light travel? What if this discovery was 10,000 years before it was supposed to be? Our neighbors had been watching for centuries and were surprised with our early arrival into the Web of Worlds... The Year is 2166: To the people of Earth, the universe seemed to be a very lonely place. Astronomers have discovered tens of thousands of planets; many had indications of organic life. SETI had been searching for signals for over 200 years. There had been a few tantalizing bits of radio or radar energy received but nothing ever proven to be of intelligent origin. But there was an alien civilization out there, in fact many of them linked together in a Web of Worlds. They were watching us quietly, carefully and patiently. It had long been the prime directive of the Web that no developing civilization be contacted until that civilization made it into interstellar space on their own; and that always took time, lots of time. Most Web worlds took 1,000 years or more to go from steam to the atom and none had made it from the atom to a sublight stardrive in less than 5,000 standard years. Every civilization of The Web had proven that faster than light travel was impossible, so there was plenty of time to watch the Earth... The watchers were astounded with the speed of progress of human science and also horrified at the periods of violence. By 2076 nuclear fusion power was widespread on earth. By 2100 the first interplanetary fusion ships explored the Sol system. The men and women of the Anglosphere Alliance began their first missions in ships approaching 0.1c. At that velocity, manned flight to even the nearest stars would take a lifetime. What would happen if a beautiful engineer and a brilliant physicist stumbled upon an artificial gravity field which would make a faster than light drive possible... Probably one of the most successful video game franchises in recent years, Monster Hunter has always been a series that has captured the imagination of many people with its fantastical yet realistic creatures. From the scary Vaal Hazak to the goofy Kulu Ya Ku, every last monster is unique and creative in its own way. With each species filling an ecological niche in the environment it inhabits, it honestly feels like you're exploring a real ecosystem, even if the animals that populate it are imagined. However, what if these creatures didn't come from a video game? What if these monsters were real flesh and blood animals that lived in our world? Well in this book, we'll explore an alternate universe where the beasts from Monster Hunter evolved on Earth. What would the pressures of our reality do to them? Where would they live? How might they affect the environments, and the species that live there? Would they act differently from their digital counterparts? How might they affect our own evolution? These questions and many more will be answered in this book. So why don't you join me in this incredible and exciting look into a world of monsters. Note: I do not own the copyright to Monster Hunter or any of the pictures or videos seen here, all of these belong to their rightful owners.
