Thunder came to Jade Mountain Academy looking for a safe haven. And it's just that, for a little while. She makes friends, she learns about other dragons, and she finds a place where she can finally enjoy herself. But not for long. Her devastating secret quickly catches up to her, and she ends up leaving the academy, chased by an unknown foe who seems determined to catch her. Whether dead or alive, she doesn't know. Eventually she finds herself wing-deep in a catastrophic plot that could destroy everything she loves. When her friends have her back and she's ready to fight, it seems like everything could work out. But there's only one problem: The danger is herself. (Takes place on Pyrrhia during the events of books 11, 12, and 13. Written shortly before release of book 14. Please excuse any inaccuracies.) Wings of Fire belongs to Tui T. Sutherland.

Pearl has been living a calm life, moving every six months between the Kingdom of Sea in Pyrrhia and an isolated river in Pantala. Pearl, after a couple days worth of traveling in the ocean with her mother, had finally reached their summer house in Pantala. She went for a little swim in the ocean and found something she had never seen before. She tried following it's direction, but failed to succeed. But suddenly something attackers her, making her blackout and wake up behind bars. She is asked to work for an organization, which she reluctantly agrees. Then she meets a couple dragons, needing help to rescue someone. Will she help them? Or will they leave them hopeless? Read the story to find out. Original Wings of Fire series written by Tui T. Sutherland.
